A quick and flavorful Korean-inspired dish featuring noodles tossed in a spicy, savory gochujang sauce, perfect for a satisfying vegetarian main course.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 200 g noodles
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Boil the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain thoroughly and set aside.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey (or sugar), sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well to create a smooth sauce.
  3. Heat the pan: Place a pan over medium heat and add the vegetable oil, allowing it to warm up before adding other ingredients.
  4. Toss noodles with sauce: Add the cooked noodles to the pan, then pour in the prepared gochujang sauce. Stir and toss the noodles thoroughly to ensure even coating and heat through for a few minutes.
  5. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds, then serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • You can add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach, or proteins such as chicken or tofu to enhance the dish.
  • Adjust the amount of gochujang or honey to control the spice and sweetness according to your preference.
