Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
- 200 g minced pork
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup cabbage or bok choy
- 2 tablespoons water
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Noodles: Cook ramen noodles according to the package instructions without using the seasoning packets. Once cooked, drain the noodles thoroughly and set them aside to prevent sogginess during stir-frying.
- Heat Oil: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat, ensuring the pan is hot enough to sauté the ingredients effectively.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add the minced garlic and sliced onion to the hot oil and sauté until fragrant and the onions become translucent, about 2–3 minutes.
- Cook Minced Pork: Add the minced pork to the wok and cook, stirring frequently, until the pork is browned and cooked through, breaking up clumps as it cooks.
- Add Curry Powder: Stir in 1 tablespoon of curry powder, ensuring the minced pork is evenly coated with the aromatic spices to build the dish’s distinctive flavor.
- Season the Dish: Mix in 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon oyster sauce, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, and 2 tablespoons water. Stir thoroughly to combine all the seasonings and create a flavorful sauce.
- Add Vegetables: Incorporate the cabbage or bok choy and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly wilted but still vibrant, adding texture and freshness to the dish.
- Toss Noodles: Add the cooked and drained ramen noodles into the wok and toss everything together thoroughly until the noodles are well coated with the curry sauce and mixed evenly with the pork and vegetables.
- Garnish and Serve: Finish by garnishing with chopped green onions. Serve hot for a delicious and satisfying curry minced pork stir-fried ramen meal.
