Ingredients
Chicken and Marinade
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat the Grill: Set your grill to medium heat to prepare for cooking the chicken drumsticks evenly.
- Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, then place them in a large mixing bowl.
- Season the Chicken: Drizzle the olive oil over the drumsticks, then sprinkle paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and dried oregano evenly. Toss the drumsticks thoroughly to ensure even coating of all spices and oil.
- Grill the Drumsticks: Place the seasoned drumsticks on the preheated grill. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes, turning occasionally to achieve uniform cooking and char marks until the chicken is fully cooked through and tender.
- Rest Before Serving: Remove the drumsticks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. This helps juices redistribute, keeping the meat moist and flavorful.
Notes
- You can brush barbecue sauce on the chicken during the last few minutes of grilling for extra flavor.
- Ensure that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
- Using a meat thermometer can help achieve perfect doneness without overcooking.
