Ingredients
Chicken
- 2 chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Sauce
- 1 packet ranch seasoning
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
Instructions
- Season chicken: Lightly season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper evenly on both sides.
- Cook chicken: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- Prepare sauce base: In the same pan, pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle in the ranch seasoning packet, stirring to combine and dissolve the seasoning.
- Add cream and simmer: Stir in the heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer to meld the flavors together.
- Melt cheese: Add the shredded cheese to the pan and stir until fully melted, creating a smooth, creamy sauce.
- Combine chicken and sauce: Return the browned chicken breasts to the pan, coating them well in the ranch cream sauce.
- Simmer to finish: Simmer the chicken in the sauce for 5 to 7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked through and tender.
- Serve: Serve the creamy ranch chicken warm, ideally over rice, pasta, or potatoes as desired.
