Ingredients
Chicken
- 2 chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp paprika
Sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 200g cream cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
Garnish
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken: Season the chicken breasts evenly with salt, pepper, and paprika to ensure balanced flavor.
- Cook the chicken: Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- Sauté the garlic: In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, making sure not to burn it.
- Prepare the cream cheese sauce: Lower the heat and add the cream cheese and chicken broth to the pan. Stir continuously until the cream cheese melts fully and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Combine chicken and sauce: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the pan, coating them thoroughly with the cream cheese sauce.
- Simmer: Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes on low heat to allow the flavors to meld.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the dish if desired and serve immediately over your choice of rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
- Add spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for extra nutrition and flavor.
- This dish pairs beautifully with a side of rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
