Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1 chocolate cake mix (approximately 15.25 oz)
- 1 (3.9 oz) box chocolate pudding mix
Wet Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
Toppings
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
- Mix Pudding and Milk: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and 2 cups of milk until smooth and well combined.
- Add Cake Mix: Gradually stir the dry chocolate cake mix into the pudding mixture, mixing until fully combined but do not overmix.
- Prepare to Bake: Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and spread evenly.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle 1 cup of chocolate chips evenly over the top of the batter to add extra chocolate flavor and texture.
- Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving for best texture and flavor.
Notes
- You can substitute the chocolate chips with white or peanut butter chips for variety.
- For a dairy-free version, use almond or oat milk and dairy-free pudding mix.
- Ensure the pan is well-greased to avoid sticking due to the moist batter.
- The cake is best served warm but also delicious when cooled.
- If you prefer a stronger chocolate flavor, add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the pudding mixture.
