Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 16 ounces potato gnocchi
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Other Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it ready for baking the gnocchi dish.
- Cook the Gnocchi: Prepare the potato gnocchi according to the package instructions, usually boiling them until they float to the surface. Once cooked, drain well.
- Sauté Garlic: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
- Prepare Sauce: Pour in the marinara sauce and add the Italian seasoning to the skillet. Stir and let it warm through evenly, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Combine Ingredients: In a baking dish, mix the cooked gnocchi, shredded or diced chicken, and the warmed marinara sauce together until well combined.
- Add Cheese Topping: Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the combined mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving to enjoy the comforting, cheesy gnocchi bake.
Notes
- You can add spinach or mushrooms to the dish for extra vegetables and added nutrition.
- Use fresh mozzarella for a creamier texture or a blend of mozzarella and provolone for added flavor complexity.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
