Ingredients
Salmon Bites
- 400 g salmon, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Bang Bang Sauce
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tsp honey
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) to ensure it reaches the ideal temperature for cooking the salmon bites evenly and crisply.
- Prepare Salmon: Toss the bite-sized salmon pieces with olive oil, salt, and pepper. This step seasons the fish and helps it crisp up nicely during cooking.
- Arrange Salmon in Basket: Place the seasoned salmon pieces in a single layer inside the air fryer basket to allow for even air circulation and cooking.
- Cook Salmon: Air fry the salmon for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the surface is crispy and the salmon is cooked through, tender, and flaky inside.
- Make Bang Bang Sauce: While the salmon cooks, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey in a bowl. Mix thoroughly to create a creamy, spicy, and slightly sweet sauce.
- Toss Salmon in Sauce: Once the salmon is done, toss the hot salmon bites in the prepared bang bang sauce, coating each piece evenly.
- Serve Immediately: Serve the sauced salmon bites right away while they’re warm and crispy for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure the salmon cooks evenly and stays crispy.
- Adjust the spice level by reducing or increasing the amount of sriracha according to your taste preference.
