Ingredients
Chocolate Base
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 6 oz white chocolate chips
Toppings
- 1/4 cup Valentine sprinkles
- 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup conversation heart candies
Instructions
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the chocolate from sticking and make it easy to remove the bark later.
- Melt Semi-Sweet Chocolate: Place semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval until smooth and fully melted.
- Spread Dark Chocolate: Pour and spread the melted semi-sweet chocolate evenly onto the lined baking sheet, creating a smooth layer.
- Melt White Chocolate: In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips using the same 30-second interval method, stirring until smooth.
- Drizzle and Swirl: Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the semi-sweet chocolate layer. Use a toothpick or skewer to gently swirl the two chocolates together, creating a marbled effect.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle the Valentine sprinkles, mini marshmallows, and conversation heart candies evenly over the chocolate while it is still soft.
- Set the Bark: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and allow the chocolate to firm up for about 30 minutes.
- Serve: Once set, break the chocolate bark into pieces and serve or package for gifting.
Notes
- You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate with milk or dark chocolate according to your preference.
- Add crushed cookies or nuts for extra texture and flavor.
- Store the chocolate bark in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to one week to maintain freshness.
