Ingredients
Chicken and Marinade
- 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Other
- Wooden skewers
Instructions
- Prepare Marinade: In a bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
- Marinate Chicken: Add the cubed chicken breast to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Thread Chicken: Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes to prevent burning, then thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers evenly.
- Grill or Broil Skewers: Preheat your grill or broiler. Cook the skewers for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with remaining marinade to keep the chicken moist and flavorful.
- Serve: Remove from heat once chicken is thoroughly cooked and glazed, then serve hot for a delicious meal.
Notes
- Soaking wooden skewers prevents them from burning during cooking.
- Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safety.
- Serve with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete meal.
- Can be made gluten-free by using gluten-free soy sauce and teriyaki sauce.
