This Semi-Homemade Strawberry Yogurt is a quick, easy, and healthy treat made with fresh strawberries, Greek yogurt, and a touch of vanilla for added flavor. The homemade strawberry mixture cooks down to a sweet, tangy topping that pairs perfectly with your favorite yogurt. It’s a delicious, nutritious snack for any time of the day!

  • Total Time: 13 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

2 cups frozen strawberries

½ cup water

1 teaspoon cane sugar

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Greek yogurt (as much as needed for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberry Mixture:
Combine the frozen strawberries, water, cane sugar, and vanilla extract in a saucepan.

Cook the Strawberries:
Put the saucepan on high heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once it reaches a boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and allow the strawberries to cook down and become soft, about 8-10 minutes.

Assemble the Yogurt:
Spoon the cooked strawberry mixture over the Greek yogurt before serving.

Storing the Mixture:
If you’re storing the strawberry mixture for later, place it at the bottom of an airtight container, and store it in the refrigerator.

Notes

Sweetness: You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less cane sugar to suit your taste.

Greek Yogurt: You can use any type of yogurt, but Greek yogurt pairs perfectly with the strawberry mixture because of its creamy and tangy flavor.

Storage: The strawberry mixture can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
