Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 bag (1 lb) potato gems / tater tots
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet (or 2 tbsp) taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- ½ cup salsa
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup guacamole
Optional Toppings
- jalapeños
- olives
- green onions
- cilantro
Instructions
- Cook Potato Gems: Bake or air-fry the potato gems following the package instructions until they are crispy and golden brown.
- Prepare Seasoned Beef: While the potato gems are cooking, brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Once cooked through, drain excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning, mixing well to coat the meat evenly.
- Assemble Nachos: Spread the seasoned beef evenly over the cooked potato gems on a baking sheet or oven-safe dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the beef layer.
- Melt the Cheese: Return the assembled potato gems and beef with cheese to the oven or air fryer for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted completely and is bubbly.
- Add Toppings: Remove from heat and top with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. Add any optional toppings like jalapeños, olives, green onions, and cilantro to enhance the flavor and presentation.
- Serve: Serve the potato gem nachos immediately while hot and cheesy.
