These Nutella stuffed croissants are flaky, buttery, and filled with warm, gooey chocolate-hazelnut spread. Made easily with refrigerated crescent roll dough, they’re perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an indulgent dessert.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 croissants

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup Nutella
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles along the perforations.
  3. Add Nutella filling: Spoon about 1 to 2 teaspoons of Nutella onto the wide end of each triangle, making sure not to overfill to prevent leakage during baking.
  4. Roll croissants: Carefully roll each triangle from the wide end towards the tip, enclosing the Nutella inside, and tuck in the tip underneath to secure.
  5. Arrange and brush: Place the rolled croissants seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, then lightly brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a beautiful golden hue when baked.
  6. Bake: Bake the croissants in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until they become puffed and golden brown.
  7. Cool and finish: Allow the croissants to cool slightly on the tray before dusting with powdered sugar if desired for added sweetness and presentation.
  8. Serve: Serve warm for the best gooey, flaky experience. They can be reheated briefly in the oven or an air fryer if needed.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the croissants or Nutella may leak out during baking.
  • For variation, add sliced strawberries or bananas inside before rolling.
  • Best served fresh and warm to enjoy the gooey filling and flaky texture.
  • If reheating, do so briefly in the oven or air fryer to maintain flakiness.
