Instructions
- Melt Butter: In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat carefully to avoid burning, stirring occasionally until fully melted.
- Add Marshmallows: Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and continuously stir until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Incorporate Vanilla: Remove the pot from heat and stir in the vanilla extract to add extra flavor, if using.
- Mix Cereal: Quickly add the crispy rice cereal to the marshmallow mixture and stir well until the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow butter mixture.
- Press Into Pan: Transfer the mixture into a greased or parchment-lined pan. Use a lightly greased spatula or hands to press the mixture firmly and evenly into the pan.
- Cool and Set: Allow the bars to cool and set at room temperature for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Cut and Serve: Once set, cut the marshmallow bars into 12 squares and serve immediately or store for later enjoyment.

- Lightly grease your hands or spatula to prevent sticking when pressing the mixture into the pan.
- For variation, add chocolate chips, colorful sprinkles, or chopped nuts to the mixture before pressing into the pan.
