Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Slice Sweet Potatoes: Using a mandoline or a sharp knife, slice the sweet potatoes into very thin, even rounds, approximately 1/16 inch thick, which will help them crisp up effectively.
- Toss with Oil: Place the sweet potato slices in a large bowl and toss them with the olive oil until they are evenly coated, promoting a golden-brown finish during baking.
- Arrange on Baking Sheets: Lay the slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets, making sure the slices do not overlap to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
- Season: Sprinkle the chips evenly with sea salt and add optional seasonings like black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, cinnamon, or chili powder according to your taste preferences.
- Bake First Side: Bake the chips for 10 minutes, then carefully flip each slice to ensure even browning on both sides.
- Bake Second Side: Continue baking for an additional 10–15 minutes, watching closely until the chips turn lightly browned and crisp.
- Cool and Crisp: Remove the chips from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes; they will become even crispier as they cool.
