Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 lb ground turkey

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes

1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed

1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

2 cups chicken broth

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, fresh cilantro

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

Add onion and garlic; sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, tomato sauce, and chicken broth.

Add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Adjust seasoning to taste. Serve hot with optional toppings.
