Ingredients
1 large ripe banana
150 g yogurt of your choice (we used natural yogurt)
Handful of dried banana chips (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Cups:
Lay out approximately 12 cupcake cases or silicone muffin cups on a small baking sheet or tray. Ensure the tray fits in your freezer before proceeding.
Mash the Banana:
Peel the banana and place it onto a plate. Mash it up with a fork until most of the lumps are gone. If needed, use a potato masher for easier mashing.
Mix the Banana and Yogurt:
Transfer the mashed banana into a bowl and add the yogurt. Whisk together until well combined.
Fill the Cups:
Using a spoon, dollop the banana and yogurt mixture into the bottom of each cake case or silicone muffin cup. Fill them until all the yogurt mixture is used up.
Add Banana Chips:
Top with dried banana chips, if desired. You can use whole banana chips or break them into pieces—both look great!
Freeze:
Place the cups (still on the baking tray) into the freezer and let them freeze for about 2 hours or until set solid.
Serve:
Once frozen, remove the yogurt bites from the cases and serve immediately. Alternatively, you can bag them up and return them to the freezer for later enjoyment.
Notes
Customization: Feel free to use any yogurt of your choice—whether it’s dairy or dairy-free, flavored or plain.
Storage: These bites are perfect for storing in the freezer. Keep them in an airtight container or bag to prevent freezer burn.
Toppings: You can also top with other fun ingredients like mini chocolate chips, nuts, or fresh fruit for added variety.
