Ingredients
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal (168g), divided
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cups mini marshmallows (300g), divided
1 cup creamy peanut butter (258g)
Pinch of salt (if your peanut butter is unsalted)
7.5 oz (212g) container of Marshmallow Fluff
Instructions
1. Prepare the Baking Pan
Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring the edges hang over the sides. Spray with nonstick spray and set aside.
2. Prepare the Rice Krispies
Pour 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal into a large bowl and set aside.
3. Melt the Marshmallow Mixture
In a medium saucepan, melt 6 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add 4 cups of mini marshmallows and stir frequently until melted and mostly combined (it’s okay if not fully incorporated).
4. Add Peanut Butter
Turn off the heat and stir in 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, mixing until smooth. If your peanut butter is unsalted, add a pinch of salt.
5. Combine with Rice Krispies
Immediately pour the peanut butter mixture over the Rice Krispies in the bowl. Add the Marshmallow Fluff and the remaining 2 cups of mini marshmallows. Stir everything together to coat evenly.
6. Press Into Pan
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press it into an even layer. You can use the bottom of another 9×13 pan to press down the mixture, or spray your hands with nonstick spray to press it down evenly.
7. Let Set
Let the bars set for at least 15 minutes before slicing into 12 large bars.
8. Serve and Enjoy
Once set, slice and enjoy your sweet, gooey Fluffernutter Rice Krispie Treats!
Notes
Tip for Pressing: If you have another 9×13-inch pan, use the bottom to press the mixture into an even layer. Alternatively, you can use a piece of parchment paper on top to avoid sticky hands or spray your hands with nonstick spray to press it down.
Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days for optimal freshness.
