Ingredients
Fruits
- 2 cups ripe mango chunks (fresh or frozen)
Dairy & Sweeteners
- 1 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream for dairy-free)
- ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk (adjust to taste)
Other
- 1 teaspoon lemon or lime juice (optional, for brightness)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Gather 2 cups of ripe mango chunks, 1 cup of heavy cream or coconut cream for a dairy-free version, ¼ cup of sweetened condensed milk, and 1 teaspoon of lemon or lime juice if using.
- Blend the Mixture: Place the mango chunks, cream, sweetened condensed milk, and lemon juice into a blender. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, ensuring no lumps remain.
- Adjust Sweetness: Taste the blended mixture and add more sweetened condensed milk or your preferred sweetener if needed, blending again briefly to combine.
- Fill the Molds: Pour the creamy mango mixture evenly into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top.
- Insert Sticks and Freeze: Insert the popsicle sticks into the molds and place them in the freezer. Freeze for 6 to 8 hours or until fully set and solid.
- Serve: To remove the popsicles, briefly run the molds under warm water to loosen them, then gently pull out the popsicles and enjoy.
Notes
- Use very ripe mangoes for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
- Swap sweetened condensed milk with honey or maple syrup for a different sweetener option.
- Add a swirl of yogurt into the mixture before freezing for extra tang and creaminess.
- Store leftover popsicles in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks to maintain freshness.
