Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup butter, melted
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: powdered sugar or icing for topping
Instructions
- Prepare biscuit dough: Cut each biscuit into quarters and set aside to prepare for coating.
- Coat biscuit pieces: In a bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Toss the biscuit pieces in this mixture until evenly coated with the cinnamon sugar.
- Prepare air fryer pan: Lightly grease an air fryer-safe pan or a silicone mold that fits your air fryer basket to prevent sticking.
- Layer biscuit pieces: Arrange the coated biscuit pieces evenly in the prepared pan to ensure even cooking.
- Make butter mixture: In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined to create a rich, sweet glaze.
- Add butter mixture: Pour the butter and brown sugar mixture evenly over the layered biscuit pieces, ensuring all pieces get some coating.
- Cook in air fryer: Place the pan inside the air fryer basket and cook at 350°F (175°C) for 12–15 minutes. If the top browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil halfway through cooking.
- Cool and serve: Allow the monkey bread to cool for 5 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. Serve warm for the best gooey, pull-apart experience. Optionally, drizzle with powdered sugar or icing for extra sweetness.
Notes
- Check doneness with a toothpick inserted into the center; it should come out clean indicating the bread is fully cooked.
- Cooking times might vary slightly based on the size and model of your air fryer.
- Serve with vanilla icing or a simple powdered sugar glaze to enhance the sweetness if desired.
- Best enjoyed fresh and warm for optimal texture and flavor.
