- 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
- 2 cups broccoli florets (steamed)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup milk
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup cooked rice (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the casserole.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, steamed broccoli, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir well to evenly distribute all ingredients.
- Add Rice (Optional): If using rice, fold in the cooked rice into the mixture until incorporated.
- Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a baking dish and pour the mixture into it, spreading evenly.
- Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the mixture.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving to allow the casserole to set.
Notes
- For a crispy finish, add breadcrumbs on top of the cheese before baking.
- You can substitute cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom soup if preferred.
