Buffalo Chicken Dip Cups are a delightful appetizer featuring creamy, spicy buffalo chicken dip baked inside crispy wonton wrappers. Perfectly portioned into bite-sized cups, they are ideal for parties, game days, or casual gatherings, offering bold, tangy flavors with a satisfying crunch in every bite.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 24 dip cups

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Muffin Tin: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and generously spray a mini muffin tin with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Form Wonton Cups: Press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, gently shaping it to form a small cup that will hold the filling.
  3. Bake Wonton Cups: Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake the wonton wrappers for 6 to 8 minutes or until they turn lightly golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. Mix Buffalo Chicken Filling: In a medium bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, and ranch or blue cheese dressing. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  5. Fill Wonton Cups: Spoon the prepared buffalo chicken mixture evenly into each baked wonton cup, filling them generously.
  6. Bake Filled Cups: Return the muffin tin to the oven and bake for an additional 10 to 12 minutes until the filling is hot, melted, and bubbly.
  7. Cool and Serve: Allow the dip cups to cool for a few minutes before serving to avoid burning and enhance flavor.

Notes

  • Using rotisserie chicken saves time and adds extra flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to control the spiciness of the dip.
  • Top with chopped green onions or an extra drizzle of ranch dressing for added garnish and taste.
