These Air Fryer Hash Browns are perfectly crispy and golden, made with Yukon potatoes and seasoned to perfection. Quick and easy to prepare in just 23 minutes, they’re a great breakfast side or snack. This recipe is vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free, making it suitable for a variety of dietary preferences.

  • Total Time: 23 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

2 cups Yukon potatoes, grated

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Nonstick cooking spray

Chives or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Potatoes:

Peel and grate the Yukon potatoes using the large holes of a box grater.

Place the grated potatoes in a bowl of cold water and rinse a few times until the water runs clear. Drain well.

Spread the grated potatoes on paper towels and pat dry thoroughly to remove excess moisture.

Season the Potatoes:

In a large bowl, mix the grated potatoes with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Air Fry the Hash Browns:

Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.

Spread the seasoned potatoes in the basket and spray lightly with oil.

Air fry at 350°F for 8 minutes. After 8 minutes, open the basket, stir the potatoes gently, and break up any clumps.

Air fry again for an additional 6-8 minutes, or until the hash browns are very crispy.

Serve:

Plate the hash browns and garnish with chopped chives or parsley. Enjoy with eggs or your favorite breakfast items!

Notes

Preheating: Preheating the air fryer isn’t necessary, but you can do so if your air fryer manual recommends it.

Rinsing Tip: You can rinse the potatoes in a colander, but keep in mind that some pieces might slip through the holes. Using a bowl of water is a good alternative.
