  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 tablespoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 cup sugar (for coating)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Cooking spray

Instructions

Make the Dough:
In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour, vanilla, and baking powder until a dough forms.

Pipe the Dough:
Allow the dough to cool slightly, then transfer it to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.

Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F).

Shape the Bites:
Pipe small bite-sized pieces of dough onto parchment paper and cut them to your desired size.

Cook the Bites:
Lightly spray the churro bites with cooking spray and place them in the air fryer basket.
Cook in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Coat in Cinnamon-Sugar:
While the churro bites are cooking, mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
Once cooked, immediately toss the churro bites in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until well coated.

Serve:
Serve warm with chocolate sauce or caramel for dipping.

Notes

Air Fryer Tip: Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.

Topping Variations: You can also experiment with powdered sugar or drizzle with honey for extra sweetness.
